Taraba govt offers incentive to NYSC members serving in public schools

Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has assured the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members teaching in Taraba State public schools of an improved incentive on a monthly basis.

Governor Agbu stated this  when interacting with journalists on Wednesday in Jalingo, the state Capital.

He said the purpose of the incentive is to ensure the success of his free education policy for primary and secondary schools in the state.

He explained that education is the bedrock of every society, therefore, his administration is committed and will leave no stone unturned to ensure the citizens have access to free and quality education.

Dr. Agbu stressed that his leadership is also committed to empowering the citizens, providing welfare for civil servants, prompt payment of salary, pension and also tackle security challenges.

The governor, who said the mining activities in the state environment have been suspended, added that the decision is to create an environment for genuine investors.

He stated that, the progress of Taraba State is a collective efforts, and his priority is to improve on tourism centers, infrastructural development, provision of rural electrification to better the life of citizens, accountability and good governance.
