Taraba NSE inaugurates new leadership, vows to chase quack engineers

The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) Taraba State chapter has inaugurated their newly elected officials to pilot the affairs of the association in next two years.

 

Engr. Collins Awosika who emerged as the branch Chairman of the association said his leadership will leave no stone unturned in chasing out quack engineers from Taraba State.

 

Engr. Awosika who is reelected as the NSE Taraba State chapter Chairman for the second term, stressed that as a trained engineer there are code of conducts that regulates the practice of the profession.

 

He said his regime will collaborate with relevant agencies, concern organizations and engineering monitoring team to proffer solutions to end quacks n engineering career within Taraba State and beyond.

 

He further explain that his administration will provide excellence stewardship to members and contribute to the economic growth of Taraba State by taking advantage of its natural resources, particularly in agriculture, solid minerals and water resources.

 

Addressing the elected officials, the National Vice President of NSE, Engr. Danladi Ushuki Adamu, said NSE leadership at the national level is committed to raising young engineers and giving them sense of belonging toward practicing their profession.

 

He appealed to the new leadership to engage engineering students from higher institutions of learning in all the NSE activities and also advised members to give a maximum support for the new Exco to succeed.

 

Meanwhile, the plant manager Taraba Water and Severage Corporation, TAWASCO Table Water, Engr. Edward Dinshiya applauded the stewardship of Engr. Collins Awosika for injecting sound minds into the association and assembling experts in different field of engineering to ensure that NSE have excellent and effective leadership.

 

However, the inauguration which was held at Catholic Pastoral Center Jalingo in Taraba State has Engr. Collins Awosika as chapter Chairman, Engr. Daniel Calvin Vice Chairman, Engr. Timothy Gambo General Secretary, Engr. Rikwekaa Amamra Musa Treasurer, Engr. Benjamin Agbu Technical Secretary, Engr. Jimmy Luntsi Assistant Secretary, Engr. Auwal Bello Pete Financial Secretary, Engr. Bweyi John Maiwuya Assistant Technical Secretary, Engr. Samaila Philip Bako Publicity Secretary, and Engr. Innocent Dominic as EX-Officio respectively.
