TikTok on Monday unveiled its TikTok for Artistes platform in Nigeria, following its global launch earlier this year.
Head of Music Partnerships for the UK, Ireland, and Sub-Saharan Africa at TikTok, Toyin Mustapha, stated, “TikTok has long been a vibrant hub for music discovery and promotion across Africa.”
He emphasized that the platform’s introduction in Nigeria equips artistes and their teams with powerful tools to deepen fan engagement and expand their global reach.
“This innovative platform delivers transparent, actionable data, enabling creators to make informed decisions and connect meaningfully with TikTok’s global community,” Mustapha explained.
He highlighted TikTok’s commitment to supporting Africa’s dynamic music scene by providing tools to foster sustainable, international careers.
The platform offers a robust set of features, including daily-updated dashboards and detailed analytics.
These provide insights into song performance, such as views, posts, and creator interactions, as well as post-specific metrics like likes, comments, shares, and completion rates.
Additionally, it offers demographic data on followers, breaking down audience details by gender, age, and language.
Beyond analytics, TikTok for Artistes provides educational resources, including guides to maximize the platform’s tools.
“The platform also introduces a pre-release feature, allowing artistes to create campaigns for upcoming albums and enabling fans to pre-save music on platforms like Spotify or Apple Music,” Mustapha added.
Available to all artistes with a certified TikTok Artiste Account, the platform allows access for managers and label teams to support strategic campaign planning.
British artiste Jordan Adetunji, with 640,000 followers, praised the platform, saying, “TikTok for Artistes is a game changer. It provides incredible insights into my music and audience, and my team can use this data to plan effective campaigns.”
