
Newly inaugurated interchange linking Wole Soyinka Way to Murtala Mohammed Expressway in Abuja.
President Bola Tinubu has expressed pride in the ongoing transformation of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), highlighting its potential to boost the economy and foster social wellbeing.
Tinubu made this statement while inaugurating a new interchange linking Wole Soyinka Way to Murtala Mohammed Expressway in Abuja.
The President, represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, commended the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and his team for their dedication and efforts in bringing the project to fruition.
“We are proud of what is happening in the FCT… Even the blind could see the ongoing transformation,” Tinubu said.
The new interchange is expected to ease traffic congestion, enhance safety, and improve the daily lives of residents and commuters in the FCT.
Tinubu noted that the project would “unlock new opportunities for commerce, reduce travel time, and contribute directly to increasing productivity and a better quality of life for all who traverse these vital routes.”

Tinubu emphasized that his administration’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” is built on robust infrastructure for the transformation of the country’s fortune.
“Our nation’s infrastructure must be strong, clear, and efficient to pump life into its economy, and foster social wellbeing,” he said.

Wike, in his remarks, thanked Tinubu for his impactful leadership style, which he credited to the project’s success. “When you provide the right leadership, you will get the right results… There’s no magic. It’s just about commitment,” he said.
The FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, also commended Tinubu’s visionary leadership, citing the numerous achievements recorded in the FCT.
