Tinubu vows to eliminate banditry, kidnapping if elected President

Ahead of the forthcoming general elections, the Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured Nigerians that his government will eliminate kidnapping and bring to an end all other forms of insecurity.

“We will eliminate the madness called kidnapping” Tinubu assured.

Tinubu who spoke on Thursday at the Sokoto Giginya Stadium, venue of their party presidential campaign, equally assured that, Nigerians will witness better education, agriculture, job opportunities and stable economy if given the mandate.

Speaking earlier, President Muhammadu Buhari, implored Nigerians to vote for the APC presidential candidate, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become his successor.

Buhari who noted that he is solidly behind Tinubu, further confirmed that, the APC presidential candidate will win by God’s grace.

On his part, the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan called on the people of Sokoto to reclaim their stolen mandate, saying, the APC won 2019 governorship in Sokoto but was rigged in favour of the PDP, whom he said has failed in the State.

Senator Lawan further assured that with the crowd he has seen at the campaign rally, he is optimistic that APC will win 75 percent in Sokoto during the general elections.

Going memory lane, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the APC, Senator Kashim Ibrahim appealed to the people of Sokoto and the entire northern to vote massively for Tinubu as a way of reciprocating what the south did for them I’m 2015 and 2019.

The mammoth crowd that graced the campaign became uncontrollable chanting, “Sai Alu, Sai Alu, Sai Alu” when the former governor and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko took the microphone to address the supporters.

Wamakko in his usual characteristics, held the crowd spellbound until the end of his speech where he appealed to Sokoto electorate to elect all APC candidates.

The APC gubernatorial candidate of Sokoto, Honourable Ahmed Aliyu promised to continue with the people oriented policies and programmes of his principal, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko which he said was jettisoned for selfish interest by the current PDP led government in Sokoto.

Climax of the campaign rally was the formal defection of one of the States political bigwigs, Alhaji Umorun Kwabo (Jarman Sokoto) and his supporters to the APC.
