President Bola Tinubu has declared that his administration is transforming the narrative of infrastructure development in Nigeria through the execution of tangible projects across the country.
Speaking at the commissioning of the dualized and upgraded Ushafa to War College/Army Checkpoint roads in Bwari Area Council of the FCT, Tinubu emphasized his administration’s commitment to building a Nigeria where every community is connected, every business thrives, and every citizen enjoys a life of dignity and opportunity.
Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the inauguration of infrastructure projects is an expression of his administration’s commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable development.

“We have transformed a path of frustration into a corridor of opportunity. These dualized and upgraded roads will not only ease traffic congestion, they will breathe new life into economic activities,” he said.
The President highlighted the benefits of the road projects, including improved access to education and healthcare, and an overall uplift in the quality of life for the people of Ushafa, Bwari, and neighboring communities.
The President emphasized the significance of awarding the road project to an indigenous contractor, saying it was a deliberate decision to showcase the competence and resilience of Nigerian professionals and businesses.
“There is something even more remarkable to celebrate today: this entire project was awarded to an indigenous contractor.
“We are building capacity. We are creating jobs. We are fostering a sense of ownership and pride within our communities,” he said.
Tinubu added that the project demonstrates that, with the right support and enabling environment, Nigerian contractors can deliver infrastructure that rivals the best in the world.
The Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, said the ongoing commissioning of projects in the FCT demonstrates the President’s love and care for the inhabitants of the satellite towns.
“The provision of road infrastructure in the FCT satellite towns is key to opening up the areas for economic development and improving the livelihoods of the people in all ramifications,” he added.
Wike emphasized that the development of infrastructure in the FCT is crucial for the growth and development of the country.
The commissioning of the Ushafa to War College/Army Checkpoint roads is expected to have a significant impact on the communities along the route. The project will improve access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities, and is likely to boost economic activity in the area. The project will also reduce travel times and improve road safety, making it easier for people to move around and access essential services.
