Two wanted terrorists eliminated by police in Katsina

Operatives from The Katsina State Police Command has repelled a terrorists attack and neutralized two wanted terrorists on Tuesday.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gambo Isah, who disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday in Katsina, identified the two notorious terrorists as Abu Na-Iraqi and Abu Na-Masari,”

SP Isah said the wanted terrorists were killed when they attacked Sokoto Rima quarters in Dutsinma Local Government Area of the state.

He said: “On Dec. 13, 2022 at about 7:30p.m, a distress call was received that terrorists in their numbers, shooting sporadically with AK 47 rifles, attacked Sokoto-Rima Quarters, Dutsinma LGA, with intent to kidnap some residents.

“Subsequently, the Area Commander Dutsinma and his team swiftly moved to the area, engaged the terrorists in a gun duel, neutralized two notorious terrorists on the wanted list of the police,” Isa stated.

He added that two AK 47 rifles were recovered from them.

“Search parties are still combing the area with a view of arresting other members of the syndicate who fled the scene with gunshot wounds,” he added.
