
Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo and former Governor Yahaya Bello

Former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has expressed his condolences to Governor Ahmed Ododo following the passing of his father.
The governor’s father passed away on Monday night at the age of 83.
In a condolence message issued on Tuesday in Lokoja, Bello paid heartfelt tribute to the late Ododo, describing him as a pillar of moral guidance and a source of stability.

He highlighted the significant role the deceased played in shaping Governor Ododo’s values and leadership qualities.
“The late Alhaji Ododo’s wisdom, quiet sacrifices, and devotion to family and community are evident in Governor Ododo’s integrity, humility, and dedication to the people of Kogi,” Bello stated.
He encouraged the governor to find comfort in knowing that his father’s legacy endures through him and to continue honoring his memory by leading with compassion and responsibility.
Bello prayed for Allah’s forgiveness for the deceased’s shortcomings and for his soul to be granted Al-Jannah Firdaus. He also asked for divine strength for the Ododo family to bear their loss.
He reaffirmed his unwavering support and prayers for the governor during this challenging period.
