PATRICK ABANG Calabar –
The immediate past Cross River State Commissioner for Aviation, Dr. Jacob Otu Enyia has accepted the All Progressive Congress (APC) consensus candidate for Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency after two failed attempt to produce a vibrant candidate.
Dr. Enyia noted that the party is supreme, and as a loyal party man, he has accepted the party’s decision in good faith.
“I am in obedience, loyalty and admiration of the wisdom of our governor and commitment to the party, wholeheartedly accept and key into the choice of Victor Abang as our candidate’
“That when we’re in the field at Ikom, I made it clear that we gave the leaders in Ikom/Boki Local Government Areas, we have our Governor who is our grand master and should not watch the children fight dirty like pigs, injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere”, Dr. Enyia said in a statement.
He added that “The Boki/Ikom Federal Constituency has been turbulent as two attempt would not produce a common ground until the Governor Ben Ayade intervened by asking other aspirant to step down for Victor Abang who had earlier been endorsed by the party as the consensus candidate”.
Dr. Enyia, however, appealed to other aspirant to heed to the call of governor by accepting the pleas of the party and the governor and forged a common front ahead of the general election.
