2023: Impending danger awaits APC if…….. – Bar. Magaji

Nasarawa West Senatorial aspirant, Barr. Labaran Magaji

A frontline senatorial aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Barr. Labaran Magaji has said an impending danger awaits the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) if serious measures are not taken against irregularities in the party.

Bar. Magaji stated this on Monday in Keffi LGA of Nasarawa State while reacting to the violence and disruption of Nasarawa West Senatorial District primary elections by political thugs.

Mr. Magaji, who is a federal prosecutor with the Federal Ministry of Justice in Abuja, lamented that the conduct of primary elections by the APC has so far been a shame and total disappointment, adding that the party risk collapsing in the nearest future.

He also lamented that as a frontline senatorial aspirant, he was not informed by his party of the election date that was to take place two days ago..

According to him: “I and my teeming supporters have been waiting for the past two days only to got intelligence report yesterday that the electoral officers sneaked into Keffi and moved to the Convocation square of Nasarawa State University, Keffi venue of the election followed by supporters of his co-contender Arct.n Shehu Tukur whom is favored by the National Secretariat of the party”.

He vowed to use very legal actions to seek for justice and will not be intimidated by anybody as he said the era of imposing candidates on the masses has passed.

“As a criminal prosecutor, i will not allow such irregularities to happen because our party’s future is in danger”, he lamented.

It will be recalled that two supporters of the Senatorial aspirant were arrested by security agents who alleged that Labaran Magaji brought thugs to disrupt the primary election. But in a swift reaction, Mr. Magaji denied the allegation and accused the leadership of the party for wanting to thwart the wishes of the dominant masses.
