2023: We’re ready for APC campaign in Nasarawa – Keffi LG chairman

Barely three weeks to the commencement to the 2023 National and State governmental election campaign in Nigeria, the Keffi Local Government in Nasarawa State has inaugurated its powerful team to pilot the campaign activities in the area.

The Chairman of Keffi Local Government Council, Alhaji Baba Shehu who inaugurated the team in Keffi within the week, urged members of the team to live above board in order to ensure effective performance of their duties.

Hon. Baba Shehu said that the 2023 elections has become very crucial to Keffi Local Government as well as the State government in in view of the high position being occupied in the party (APC) by Sen. Abdullahi Adamu who is the son of the soil.

According to him, “we in Keffi and the State as a whole in particular cannot afford to fail in the forthcoming election. We must be committed to ensuring that the APC government is returned to power both at the State and Federal level.

“All hands must therefore be on desk to contribute our individual and collective efforts in order to produce the best results in all the forthcoming 2023 elections.

He emphasized the need for all members of the campaign team to ensure that the workability of democratic system through the culture of peace and cordiality and rules of the game are maintained.

“The massive road Infrastructural facilities both the federal and governments in Keffi local governments as well as other developmental projects completed and on going in our land is enough reference points for us to base our campaigns on issues instead of irrelevants issues being peddled.

In his remarks, the newly appointed secretary of the council, Alhaji Mohammed Adamu, pledged on behalf of the colleagues to live up to expectations that will justify the great confidence repoused in them.

Mohammed Adamu, a professional journalist and younger brother of Sen. Abdullahi Adamu (APC National Chairman) said that the team assembled by Keffi Local Government council is fully aware of the enormous responsibilities given to them assuring them that all members will put in their best efforts for a successful result.”

In his words, “we believe in our cooperation, collaboration and individual support for the success of this Local Government. We will continue to solicit and accommodate the youths and the security agencies in this area as well as the various ethnic, religious and traditional groups in our midstream to ensure that there is peace and harmony for us to carry out the required development in the Local Government.”

The secretary said that with adequate financial and material support available to the team, “we are confident that whatever challenges that may come our ways will be fully over come”.
