Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) produced a stunning performance to defeat Real Madrid 4-0 in the semifinals of the FIFA Club World Cup, setting up a final showdown with Chelsea.
Fabian Ruiz scored twice, while Ousmane Dembele and Goncalo Ramos added to the scoreline at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
*Early Goals Seal the Fate*
The match began with a flurry of activity, as Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois made two crucial saves in the opening five minutes.
However, PSG’s dominance eventually paid off in the sixth minute when Dembele pounced on slack defending by Raul Asencio, and Ruiz converted the loose ball. Three minutes later, Dembele scored again, capitalizing on a mistake by Antonio Rudiger, and effectively ending the contest.
*Ruiz’s Second Goal, Ramos’s Finish*
Ruiz added another goal midway through the first half, assisted by Achraf Hakimi, and PSG continued to dominate the match. Despite opportunities for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue, the scoreline remained 3-0 until the 87th minute when Ramos sealed the win with a beautifully controlled shot.

*Mbappe’s Struggles*
The match marked a reunion between PSG and their former star Kylian Mbappe, now playing for Real Madrid. However, Mbappe struggled to make an impact, and his team paid the price for their inability to contain PSG’s fluid attacks. Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso seemed to concede defeat, taking off key players Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior after the hour mark.
*Next Step: Final Against Chelsea*
With this convincing win, PSG advances to the Club World Cup final against Chelsea, scheduled for July 13 at the MetLife Stadium. Given their current form, PSG appears unstoppable, and it would be a significant upset if they fail to lift the trophy.
