
Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-ojo
Federal Government has declared Friday, 1st May, 2026, as public holiday to mark International Workers’ Day.
This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Magdalene Ajani.
The statement said the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government
The Minister cogratulated Nigerian Workers and commends their contribution to national development.
He urged workers to remain committed to productivity, patriotism, and dedication to duty.
Tunji-Ojo equally assures that the government remains committed to improving workers’ welfare and creating an enabling environment for economic growth.
He called on Nigerians to remain peaceful and law-abiding, while reflecting on unity and hard work as key to nation-building.
