Casemiro
Inter Miami are closing in on the signing of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro after reaching an agreement that is now awaiting formal completion and official announcement.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that a verbal agreement has been sealed between all parties, with the remaining formalities already resolved.
The move will see Casemiro leave Europe for a new challenge in Major League Soccer, where he is set to join forces with Argentine superstar Lionel Messi at Inter Miami CF.
According to Romano, the Brazilian has chosen to continue his career in the United States, with an official announcement expected once the final documents are signed.
Casemiro enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at Real Madrid, winning multiple UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles before moving to England.
His expected arrival would give Inter Miami another experienced presence in midfield as the club continues to add proven talent to its squad.
The move also underlines Inter Miami’s growing attraction since Messi arrived at the club. Casemiro is set to become the latest high-profile player to make the switch to South Florida and link up with the Argentine captain.
The Brazilian has spent much of his career competing for major honours in Europe and will bring that experience to a Miami side looking to remain among the leading teams in MLS.
Romano accompanied the update with his trademark “Here We Go”, signalling that the deal has been agreed and is awaiting official confirmation.
