Anambra lawmaker, Nnamdi Okafor, slumps, dies in South African hotel

Anambra State Majority leader of the House of Assembly, Hon. Nnamdi Okafor has died on Tuesday in Sandton City Johannesburg, South Africa.

Hon. Okafor served as the lawmaker representing Awka South Constituency I in Anambra State House of Assembly.

It was learnt that the lawmaker was said to have slumped in a hotel at Sandton City Johannesburg, and was confirmed dead hours later.

Meanwhile, there has been no official statement confirming the cause of his death as at the time of filing this report.

The deceased and other lawmakers were said to have traveled to South Africa for a legislative retreat.
