
Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo
All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has rolled out a robust 489-member campaign council to drive Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election bid for the November 8, 2025, Anambra governorship election.
The council was inaugurated on Friday in Awka, signaling a strong push for victory.
APGA National Chairman, Mr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, expressed unwavering confidence in the party’s prospects, stating, “There is no real contest in the November 8 election. The people of Anambra have already endorsed Governor Soludo’s candidacy.”
He highlighted the launch as a testament to APGA’s anticipated triumph.
APGA’s Anambra Chairman, Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, emphasized the party’s strategy, saying, “Every electoral ward will be mobilized to vote massively for Soludo’s re-election.”
The focus on grassroots efforts was echoed by Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, the Campaign Council’s Director-General and Secretary to the State Government, who noted, “Elections are won at the polling units and ward levels, making grassroots engagement indispensable.”
National Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and former Anambra Deputy Governor, Mr. Emeka Sibudu, pledged support for Soludo, stating, “Governor Soludo is doing exceptionally well. Our support encourages him to continue his commendable work, which the people of Anambra can readily attest to.”
He affirmed Ohanaeze’s backing for effective Igbo governors, regardless of party lines.
In his response, Governor Soludo underscored APGA’s unity and strength, saying, “This campaign council of 489 members represents a movement within Anambra’s 8.5 million people. As members, you are all apostles of this mission.”
He acknowledged past challenges but celebrated the party’s resilience and consistent electoral success.
