The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has revealed that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s focus on infrastructure development is the reason behind the party’s delayed start to campaigns ahead of the November 8 Governorship Election in Anambra.
APGA’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ejimofor Opara, disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen on Thursday in Awka.
tated that Soludo is prioritizing the completion of ongoing projects rather than campaigning.
“As a government, there are deadlines that Gov. Soludo has set for himself and everyone on the Solution team. Thus, a campaign at this time would be more of a distraction, and residents will not accept excuses,” Opara said.
Opara emphasized that Soludo’s administration is focused on delivering tangible results, rather than relying on campaign rhetoric.
“Across the length and breadth of the state, Soludo is stamping indelible footprints that require consolidation; nothing will veer him off this track,” he added.
The APGA spokesperson noted that residents will make informed decisions based on the governor’s performance, rather than hearsay.
“For the first time in the state’s known history, residents will be making a decision based on massive evidence of sterling performance, not hearsay,” Opara said.
With the official campaign period having begun on June 11, APGA seems confident in Soludo’s chances, with Opara assuring that “our vehicle is sound and the road ahead is clear.”
