Armed Bandits

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have ambushed and killed the Chief of Chanchanji, HRH Alhaji Tanimu Kunbiya, and his son, Yusuf Tanimu, while they were returning from a funeral service on Friday evening in Takum.
Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, in a statement by his media aide, Emmanuel Bello, expressed deep sadness and shock at the tragic incident, describing it as a heinous crime.
He has ordered immediate investigation and directed security agents to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice as soon as possible.
The governor appealed for calm and reiterated his commitment to rid the state of lawlessness and brigandage, emphasizing that the era of banditry and criminality has ended.
He condoled with the people of Chanchagi and Takum, urging peaceful coexistence and promising to continue working towards ensuring the safety of all citizens.”
