Bauchi Governor, Mohammed flags off 40.2kms road at N14.2bn

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has flagged off the construction of 40.2 kilometers road from Geljaule – Lame District in Toro Local Government Area of the State.

Speaking at the flag-off of the road at Geljaule village on Wednesday evening, he said that the project would cost N14.2 billion.

Mohammed added that it is in fulfilment of the promises he made to the people of the area during his electioneering campaign.

He therefore charged the State Ministry of Works and Transport to ensure the contractors adhere to the timeframe and project specification.

Similarly, the Governor said that the move to construct rural road network linking communities along the corridors of Boi, Gambar, Sara, Marti and Lere in Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa Local Government Areas of the State, was to improve security and economic activities in the areas.

He said this while performing the Ground Breaking Ceremony of 29 kilometers project held at Lere District of Tafawa Balewa Local Government.

The Governor promised to execute similar projects across the state under the Rural Agricultural and Mobility Project RAMP, a World Bank Assisted Programme.
