Benue State Police Commissioner, Ifeanyi Emenari

Benue State Police Commissioner, Emenari Ifeanyi has deployed Tactical Commanders to troubled areas in the state with a charge to restratigise and confront security challenges bedeviling the communities.
CP Ifeanyi gave this directive during an emergency meeting with senior police officers, area commanders, tactical commanders and DPOs held at Police Officers Mess, Makurdi on May 3, 2025.
A statement by the command’s spokesperson, Sewuese Anene revealed that Ifeanyi encouraged commanders to work with other Quasi security outfits within their AOR emphasizing the need for community policing which is a policing style that puts all hands on deck.
The CP reiterated his stand for zero tolerance for corruption and all forms of unprofessional conduct that could give the Nigeria Police Force a bad name and promised to reward police officers that were professional in carrying out their duties.
He declared his willingness to collaborate with all security agencies, quasi security agencies, traditional rulers, community leaders and everyone who is interested in securing the state.
