Borno dep gov congratulates Prof. Ahidjo as Zannah Burshema of Borno

The Deputy Governor of Borno State, Hon.Umar Usman Kadafur has congratulated Professor Ahmed Ahidjo, Chief Medical Director (CMD) of University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) on his turbaning ceremony as the Zannah Burshema of Borno.

Prof. Ahidjo, was turbaned by the Shehu of Borno , Hid Eminence, Alhaji (Dr) Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-kanemi on Sunday at the shehu’s palace.

The turbaning of the new Zannah Burshema, whose appointment by the royal father was informed by his numerous achievements in his chosen career was held amidst mammoth crowd from the university community , friends, relatives associates and family members among others.

 

Borno State Deputy Governor, Usman Kadufur, Shehu of Borno, Alhaji (Dr) Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-kanemi and other dignitaries during the turbaning ceremony.

 

The Shehu of Borno, in his remarks, said the Emirate decided to honour him in recognition of his achievements and outstanding performance to the development of the emirate.

 

The royal father wished him success in his new assignment and expressed hope that he will bring lot of impacts in one way or the other to the emirate

The Deputy Governor who was in attendance was accompanied by the Hon. Speaker Borno State House of Assembly (BOSHA), Rt. Hon. Abdulkareem Lawan, Deputy Speaker BOSHA, Engr Abdullahi Musa Askira,, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Tijjani Bukar.

Senator representing Northern Borno Barr .M.T Monguno, Former Deputy Governor , Alhaji Usman Mamman Durkwa, Emirs of Biu, Gwoza,Uba and Askira respectively and their entourage.

Others include Former Deputy Governor of Borno State, Alhaji Ali Abubakar Jatau, Former Deputy Governor of Adamawa State Chief Crowther Seth (Nzezu Bachama) , Former Commissioners,former Special Advisers, former SSAs and SA’s among others.
