The Court of Appeal Sitting in Gombe State on Friday sentenced the former General Manager of Maiduguri Flour Mills, Ma’aji Shettima Arfo to 7 years imprisonment.
Alhaji Arfo was sentenced to jail for stealing millions of naira belonging to the Borno State Government and the Flour Mills of Nigeria.
In a unanimous judgement, the court found Arfo guilty of all the charges leveled against him and held his appeal to be unmeritorious .
It will be recalled that the defendant has been under investigation and in custody of the law enforcement agents while the investigation was in progress.
Later on, he was charged to the court for hearing and judgment, of which he was sentenced to prison but he later made an appeal in Gombe which conclusively sentenced him to 7 years imprisonment while upholding the earlier judgement of the High Court.
