Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani
Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in the state, Nigeria, and across the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message, the governor expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting Muslims the strength, discipline, and spiritual fulfilment to observe the fast, noting that Ramadan represents a period of deep reflection, renewal, and closeness to God.
He described Ramadan as more than a ritual of abstinence, emphasizing that it is a sacred journey that instills humility, devotion, and moral discipline.
According to him, the essence of fasting lies in the transformation it brings, shaping character and promoting righteousness.
Governor Sani noted that throughout the holy month, Muslims demonstrated virtues such as patience, compassion, generosity, and self-restraint, urging them to sustain these values beyond Ramadan and allow them to guide their daily lives and interactions.
He highlighted the unique convergence of Ramadan with the Christian season of Lent this year, describing it as a powerful reminder of shared values among people of faith, including sacrifice, repentance, and devotion, and called for strengthened interfaith harmony.
The governor stressed that Kaduna State’s diversity should serve as a source of strength rather than division, urging citizens to embrace tolerance, justice, and peaceful coexistence while working collectively for the common good.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of citizens through sustained efforts in security, agriculture, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, noting that leadership remains a sacred trust anchored on accountability and service.
Governor Sani also called on residents to remember the less privileged during the celebration by extending acts of charity to widows, orphans, and the vulnerable, stressing that the true joy of Eid lies in compassion and sharing.
He further urged the youth to uphold the values of integrity and discipline imbibed during Ramadan and cautioned against divisive tendencies as political activities intensify, emphasizing the need for unity, dialogue, and national cohesion.
