FCT polls: INEC assures residents of credible elections

Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu has pledges that the forthcoming FCT Area Council elections will be credible.

Professor Yakubu disclosed this on Wednesday when he visited the FCT INEC office in Garki, Abuja.


According to him, the commission had put in place adequate measures to ensure that all polls in the country are free and fair.

He therefore called on the residents to come out en masse and exercise their franchise. 


Also the Resident Electoral commissioner FCT, Yahaya Bello stated that preparations had been made to ensure a successful election.

According to him, over 265,000 Permanent Voters Card (PVC) remained uncollected within the territory.
