The Nigeria National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC) Ltd. has urged Nigerians not to engage in panic buying as the company has sufficient petroleum products in stock to meet the needs of the public.
The NNPC spokesman, Dr. Garba Deen Muhammad, gave the assurance in a statement issued to newsmen on Wednesday in Abuja.
Dr. Mohammed, who advised the public not to engage in panic buying of petrol, urged them to ignore all rumours that may suggest otherwise.
“In line with the existing laws of the land, NNPC Ltd. is deeply committed to ensuring energy security for the country”, he said in the statement.
