In celebration of the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child, Fidelity Bank Plc has rolled out its latest empowerment programme, “She Leads,” aimed at nurturing leadership, confidence, and creativity among young girls across Nigeria.
According to a statement released by the bank’s media unit on Friday in Lagos, the initiative targets female students in secondary schools nationwide.
The programme will feature a series of engaging activities, including mentorship sessions, essay competitions, debates, and health-focused interventions, all designed to give girls a platform to thrive and lead.
Highlighting the bank’s ongoing commitment to gender-focused development, Mr. Osita Ede, Divisional Head, Product Development at Fidelity Bank, emphasized the importance of equipping young girls with tools for success.
> “The ‘She Leads’ initiative is one of the many ways we are nurturing the leaders of tomorrow by giving them a voice today,” Ede said.
“This is going to be one of our most impactful investments in nation building. By providing young girls across Nigeria with the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead, we are paving the way for a more inclusive and sustainable future.”
The programme invites schools across the country to nominate standout female students for participation, with entries accepted until October 14. Selected candidates will gain access to mentorship opportunities, national recognition, and personal development resources.
