Gov. Oyebanji urges massive “door -to-door” campaign for Tinubu’s victory on Feb. 25

Gov. Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti has urged members of the All Peoples Congress (APC) to intensify door-to-door campaigns for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu’s victory in the forthcoming general election.

This is just as Oyebanji expressed his appreciation to the national leadership of APC, Ekiti chapter and members of the party for the success of the Friday, Feb. 3, presidential campaign rally in Ado-Ekiti.

This is contained in a statement made available to journalists by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yinka Oyebode, on Saturday in Ado-Ekiti.

The statement quotes Oyebanji as describing the turn out at the presidential rally as well as the love shown to the APC presidential flag-bearer as “massive.”

He urged APC members to commence a massive mobilisation of voters as well as door to door campaign for Tinubu and all the APC candidates for the National Assembly and state assemblies ahead of the Feb. 25 and March 4, elections.

“My appreciation goes to God Almighty, special thanks to the National Working Committee (NWC) of our party, the Presidential Campaign Council, Ekiti Presidential Campaign Council.

“I also appreciate former governors, Dr Kayode Fayemi and Mr Niyi Adebayo, all our former deputy governors, former and serving members of the National Assembly as well as all the leaders of our party in Ekiti for working hard to ensure a successful rally.

“The task ahead of us now, is to commence a massive mobilisation of support and door to- door campaign at the grassroots level for the election of Tinubu as president of the country; as well as all our national and state Assembly candidates,” the governor said.

He explained that Tinubu had always been there for Ekiti people, saying this was the time to pay him back with their votes.

Oyebanji further said that there was need to get all Ekiti national and state assembly candidates elected in order to ensure good governance.

The governor also thanked security agencies in the state including the FRSC and the Ekiti Traffic Management Agency,(EKSTMA) for effective management of traffic during the period of the rally. (NAN
