Cristiano Ronaldo celebrating his goal
Cristiano Ronaldo has addressed the speculation about his future and he did not mince words.
After Al-Nassr’s 4-0 victory over Al-Hazem, the Portuguese star made it clear he is settled where he is.
According to BBC Sport, Ronaldo said: “As I say many times, I belong to Saudi Arabia.” He added that he and his family have been treated well since arriving and that he is happy continuing his journey there.
The comments come amid fresh rumours suggesting there could be tension behind the scenes at Al-Nassr.
There had been talk about his long-term future, especially during the transfer window, but on the pitch he answered in the best way possible ; with goals.
Ronaldo scored twice in the comfortable win, again showing that age has not dulled his instinct in front of goal.
Since his high-profile move to Saudi Arabia in December 2022, he has remained the biggest name in the Saudi Pro League. His arrival changed the league’s profile overnight, and he continues to be its main attraction.
At 41, he is still delivering when called upon. And if his latest remarks are anything to go by, he sees his future firmly tied to Saudi football.
