Institute organizes Global Outreach Initiative to explore diverse cultures

The Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineers (IEEE) has organized a Global Outreach Initiative (GOI) aimed at exploring and appreciating the diverse cultures from the 3 different countries.

IEEE Young Professionals Nigeria Section, along with the Kenya Section were part of an exciting initiative organised by Kerala Section, India.

The program commenced with an inaugural address by the IEEE Kerala Section Chair, Mrs. Sarada Jayakrishnan where she expressed her support for the event, stressing its importance in fostering relationships between young professionals globally.

This was followed by the welcome addresses by the Nigeria and Kenya Section Chairs respectively, Engr John Funso – Adebayo and Mr Vincent Egessa.

From the vibrant Calabar Carnival in Nigeria, to the Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, tourism videos with the Sights and Sounds of the beautiful cities across Kenya, Nigeria and India were presented by each of the Young Professional Chairs: Mr Kithinji Muriungi for Kenya, Engr Haruna Danjuma Gana for Nigeria and Mr Nandan S. for Kerala.

The highlight of the event was the question and answer session where questions were posed to the three sections and addressed by the Young Professional representatives. This provided more insight into the educational and socioeconomic situations within the nations.

The 2 hour program ended with the Young Professional, Vice Chairmanfor Kerala Section, Mr Neeraj Ipe thanking the participants for their invaluable contributions, with the promise of organizing similar events in the nearby future.
