Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia

Technical Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Solomon Iorpev has called on the Gyaikyor Seven Initiative Board of Trustees (G-7i) to sustain their support for Governor Hyacinth Alia led administration’s policies and programmes.
The Technical Adviser made this call on Wednesday when he received in his office, the leadership and members of the G-7i Support Initiative Board, on a courtesy call.
Hon Iorpev noted that Governor Alia’s administration was committed to providing good governance to Benue people, particularly in revamping the lost glory of the agricultural sector in the state and encouraged them to invest more in agriculture as it was one of the cardinal policies and focus of the current administration.
Iorpev who is also the G-7 Support Initiative Board Secretary, described the courtesy call as a great honour and appealed for more unity in order sustain the longitude of the association and underscored the Governor Alia-led government’s passion for bringing development closer to the people through strategic initiatives that can drive economic growth, and promote sustainable development.
Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the Board, Prof. Godwin Jombo who led other members, noted that the courtesy call was to identify with him and congratulate Mr. Iorpev on his appointment as the Technical Adviser to the Governor and also thanked Governor Hyacinth Alia for finding one of their own worthy to serve in his government, and pledged their support to the administration.
Also on the delegation was the President of the Initiative, Prof. Gabriel Akume while other members were Dr. Moses Sende, Emmanuel Atetan as well as Mr. Achineku Shagu Ityomna and Hon. Anthony Apaa,.
Speaking separately all members commended Governor Hyacinth Alia’s administration and policies and expressed happiness over the appointment of Hon Iorpev and also prayed God to give the Adviser the strength to employ his wealth
The courtesy call featured the presentation of a portrait to the Technical Adviser by the G-7i Board of Trustees members.
The G-7 Support Initiative is an elite group made up of the Seven Council Wards of Gaav extraction in Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State, established for the development of Gaav Sons and Daughters to foster unity and progress among them.
