As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Itel Nigeria and Airtel, the most friendly networks on Monday splashed phones and other gift items oo students of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) in its Campus All Star Promo.
The Itel campus storm which was held at Chinua Achebe Art Theatre Hall Main Campus of UNICAL was full to capacity as students struggle to participate in different competition with many take away from their sponsors.
Uche Igwueze, one of the Airtel managers, during the event, said: “This is an Itel Campus Storm that is happening across the country and Airtel is here to support Itel”
“As a company, we are here to ensure that we delight the students and make sure that students are able to talk frequently among themselves”
“We are here to support the students with free SIM cards and very affordable recharges. So for every students that pick up an Airtel SIM cards he or she gets airtime bonus of every recharge and also have opportunity to use data for the next three months “
Also speaking, a student of the UNICAL, Owo Michele, who is the Director of Social Student Union Government (SUG), commended Itel Nigeria, Airtel and Smoov for their partnership in ensuring a successful event.
“You can see the event is looking nice. So far, students are happy and everybody is having fun, things are moving smoothly, a lots of takes away and drinks. The weather is nice and there is no issues. Our sponsors are all doing well.
“I want to say a big thank you to our sponsors because this event is coming in my own tenure, I feel very happy to be part of this”, he said.
