ARMSTRONG ALLAHMAGANI, Bauchi –
Former President Goodluck Jonathan, on Friday, paid a condolence visit to the Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, over the loss of his elder brother, Bappa Mohammed.
Recall that Mohammed, who was also the Yeriman Duguri, died last Sunday at the age of 69 at a Turkish Hospital in Turkiye after a prolonged illness.
The deceased was a Deputy Director at the Central Bank of Nigeria before his retirement about ten years ago. He left behind a wife, five children and two brothers namely: Adamu Mohammed, the Wakilin Bauchi and Governor Bala Mohammed.
Jonathan who landed at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi at 9.45am and was received by the Deputy governor, Senator Baba Tela and top government officials.
He was also in company with the former Executive Secretary of the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Rev. Kennedy Opara and a former Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Bawa Bwari.
He was later received by governor Mohammed at the Ramat House, Bauchi.
The former President also visited the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwan Adamu, to condole him over the loss of the governor’s brother who was a traditional title holder in the Emirate.
