Kadafur commissions 30 beds capacity health facility in Maiduguri

Borno State Deputy Governor, Umar Kadafur has commissioned 30 beds capacity health care facility to cater for the health needs of the people of Goni Damgari Area of Maiduguri Metropolis.

The deputy governor said one of the main priorities of Governor Babagana Zulum led administration is the provision of health services to the people and will continue to provide such facilities to the people across the state.

He also appealed to the people of Goni Damgari to reciprocate the efforts of government by maintaining and protecting the health facility against vandalisation.

Hon. Kadafur, however, commended the health workers who volunteered to offer free services to the community and assured them that government will soon reward them as it is aware of their efforts.

He then donated one million naira cash to the health volunteers and thanked the people of the community for their support and cooperation to the government, while assuring them of the continuous provision of the dividends of democracy..

Conducting the deputy governor round the health facility, the State Commissioner of Health, .Mrs Juliana Bitrus, said Goni Damgari Health Facility is one of the seventeen PSCH constructed under the ‘Saving One Million Life Programme’ of the State Ministry of Health and is fully equipped with 10 kVA solar power energy, staff quarters, laboratory, borehole, free drugs and medical services among others.

Highlight of the occasion include the presentation of cow to the deputy governor by the community as mark of appreciation to the state government for citing the project in their community, conducting the deputy governor round the health facility, photographs and tape commissioning.
