Taraba State Governor, Dr. Agbu Kefas has swon in the former Taraba State Speaker, Prof. Josiah Sabo Kente as Special Adviser (SA) on Political Matters, and sixteen (16) permanent secretaries.
The event which took place at the Council Chamber of Taraba State Government House in Jalingo, on Thursday was attended by many political gladiators.
Addressing the appointees, Governor Kefas urged the permanent secretaries and SA Political to consider leadership as service and making impact to the people but not all about title.
He charged the appointees to build their leadership principles on the basis of good governance, believe in service delivery, teamwork, collaborations and professionalism.
Kefas reiterated that Taraba State is undergoing a significant transformation, therefore, his administration focuses on education, infrastructures, healthcare, among others.
He appealed to the appointees, to embrace hard work, commitment, maintained professionalism, and integrity to the highest standard.
Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Prof. Kente expressed his profound gratitude for the trust bestowed on them to serve the people of Taraba State.
He disclosed that political leadership is not about power but service to the people.
He pledged that they are not going to disappoint the trust given to them but lead on the principle of dialogue and negotiation, and ensure that the people voices are held.
He thank the governor for giving them the opportunity to serve the people and ensure that they will support the vision of the governor and fully be committed and dedicated to their primary responsibilities.
