MNJTF commences Operation Lake Sanity 2, solicits for media coverage

The Chief Military Public Information Officer, MNJTF, Njamenah, Chad Republic, Lt. Col. Abubakar Abdullahi has solicited for more media support and cooperation for the ongoing MNJTF joint operations at the lake Chad region to rid the region of remaining ISWAP and Boko Haram members terrorizing the people of the state.

He also pledged to continue to relate with the media for adequate, objective and accurate information on the joint operations of the MNJTF comprising of military troops from the Republican of Chad, Niger, Cameroon and Nigeria.

Lt. Col. Abdullahi stated this on Wednesday when he paid a courtesy call to the Borno State Correspondent Chapel of the NUJ at the NUJ Press Center Maiduguri.

He further appreciated the cordial working relationship that has been existing between him and the media in the state for the past 15 years since he was a Lieutenant and served as the DDAPR , Theater Command Headquarters JTF North East, Operation Lafiya Dole now Operation Hadin Kai.

He assured to carry along all the working journalists on board including media team from other countries of Chad, Niger and Cameroon Republics.
He disclosed that already, the ongoing Operation Lake Sanity 2 at the Lake Chad Basin and its region has been in existence since 23rd April, 2024 and lots of successes have been recorded.

The Chief Military Public Information Officer also called on the communities and authorities around the operational zone across the lake Chad region to endeavour to cooperate with the military troops to bring sanity and peace in the region.

He cautioned people against spreading fake news regarding the military personnel and operations in the general interest of the people and their livelihood.

He promised to work with the media team of the military press platform through press releases to inform the media regularly on the MNJTF operations , noting that, the media tour/courtesy call has taken him and his second in command to other countries as a continuous process.
