The Imo State Police Command have arrested a commercial motorcycle operator for allegedly raping his passenger after forceful collection of her valuables.
Briefing Newsmen in Owerri, The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Orlando Ikeokwu said the suspect who is now in custody had been previously accused and arrested for allegedly having carnal knowledge of his passenger without consent.
He said the Command has also arrested a cult gang that has been terrorizing the people of Oguta in Oguta local government area of state.
According to Mr. Ikeokwu the gang is responsible for the recent cult clash that claimed one life and led to the burning of ten buildings in the area.
The Command paraded one George Akanwa who runs a motherless babies home for allegedly obtaining the sum of one million naira from a woman through a false pretence that he would give her a baby for adoption.
