Lawmakers at the House of Representatives
House of Representatives, in a show of deep sympathy, observed a minute of silence on Tuesday in memory of Victor Moro and his young son, Abba Moro Jr.—the late son and grandson of Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro.
The tribute came after a motion was moved by Rep. Philip Agbese (APC–Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo) during plenary, which was presided over by Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu.
Members of the House stood in solemn silence, offering prayers for the departed.

Victor Moro tragically lost his life in a car accident on October 18 along the Mararaba road in Nasarawa State. His son, Abba Moro Jr., had passed away just days before the fatal crash.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Victor had only recently returned from Turkey, having completed his studies abroad.
He was on the verge of beginning his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) before the unfortunate incident occurred.
In a letter dated October 20, addressed to the Speaker, Rep. Agbese described the losses as “heartbreaking,” noting the profound sorrow that has enveloped both the Moro family and the entire Benue South Senatorial District.
He praised Senator Moro as “a symbol of dedication and leadership,” adding that the House’s gesture underscores the importance of standing with colleagues in their moments of personal grief.
