Ribadu, Zulum, Kyari, others attend burial of VP Shettima’s step mother in maiduguri

Presidential delegation led by the National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Agriculture, Senator Abubakar Kyari, Governor Babagana Zulum, Senator MT Monguno, Senator Kaka Shehu Lawan, members of House of Representatives from Borno state and Borno State Assembly members, among other political stakeholders and personalities joined Vice President Kashim Shettima for the burial rite of his step mother, Hajiya Hauwa Abba Kormi, on Thursday evening in Maiduguri.

The funeral prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Borno, Laisu Ibrahim Ahmad at her residence in Maiduguri.

NATIONAL ACCORD reports that Hajiya Hauwa Kormi died on Thursday after a protracted illness at the age of 69. She is survived by five children, many stepchildren and grandchildren.

The burial was also attended by senators from Borno Central, Barrister Kaka Shehu Lawan, Borno North, Barrister Mohammed Tahir Monguno, House of Representatives members, and members of Borno State House Assembly led by the Speaker, Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan.

Others include the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, MD of North East Development Commission (NEDC), Mohammed Goni Alkali, Borno State Executive Council members and political stakeholders among others.
