Vice President Kashim Shettima was in Maiduguri Monday evening to attend the Funeral (Jannaiza prayer) proceeding of late Sheikh Khadi Kaka-Imam, the father of Alhabi Mohammed Imam at his residence in Maiduguri.
Late Alkali Imam died at the age of 100yrs after a protracted illness. The deceased is survived by children prominent among them is Alhaji Mohammed Imam, who was a two time Governorship candidate of Borno State. He also left behind several grant children.
Shettima prayed to Almighty Allah (SWT) to admit the deceased in to Aljannatul Firdausi.

Vice President described the death of Khadi Imam as a huge lost and he would continue to be remembered for his contributions to the State.
He said the family lost a great pillar, especially his contribution in providing wisdom and advice to younger generation and the Society would always be remembered. He prayed to Allah to forgive his shortcomings and the entire family the fortitude to bear the lost.
Special prayers were offered by the Chief Imam of Borno,Imam Zannah Laisu Ibrahim Ahmad. The late Sheikh, was thereafter, buried at Gwange grave yard according to Islamic rites.
Other dignitaries, who attended the funeral prayer were Governor of Yobe State H.E Mai Mala Buni,Shehu of Borno Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin El-kanemi, Minister of Agriculture and food Security Sen.Abubakar Kyari,Chairman Tetfund Matawalle Kashim Ibrahim Imam.
Others were APC Deputy National (North) Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori,Secretary to Borno State government Alhaji Bukar Tijjani, Head of Service Barr. Mallam Fannami mni, members of the State Executive Council, traditional rulers, politicians among others.
