Ahead of the furthcoming APC Congress across the Federation, Honorable Abdullahi Saleme has called for a free, fair and credible election during and after the congress.
Hon. Saleme, who is the National Assembly House Commitee Chairman on Poverty Alleviation stated this in Sokoto when the APC coordinators from across the 23 LGA paid him a courtesy visit during the weekend.
According to him, the asumption that APC in Sokoto State has faction is not true, hence, the need to work as a team.
Hon. Salame, who said the gathering was about like minds tagged, “Sokoto Vision 2023” noted that their concern was that of the state and not personal interest.
He stressed that any attempt at imposing governorship candiate on the APC come 2023 would create a potents grave danger for the party.
The lawmaker noted that some members of the APC are hiding their prefered candidate for the 2023 Governorship election considering the fact that they would only but help in demarketing the party.
He, however, urged party members to be vigilant and counter any act of imposition in the ward congress level.
