The spiritual leader of The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, Olumba Olumba Obu

The Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) has warned against the breach of public peace in BCS formations world wide.
The organization in a statement signed by its spokesman, Patriarch Christ Shepherd Edet Archibong alleged that one Mr Orlando Obu is attempting to incite members of the public as well as those in the organization to break the law and order of the state.
Archibong called on the Nigeria Police force to take necessary measures to prevent the said Orlando, reported to be a renegade, from holding a proposed meeting on 13 August, 2022 to appoint a parallel Board of Trustees (BoT), which a motion is before the Appeal Court restraining him and his solicitors from their attempt.
According to him, “Orlando has no locus standi in the organization neither does he have the authority of the founder and spiritual head, Leader Olumba Olumba Obu to convene such meeting described as illegal”.
The statement alleged that, “In a desperate attempt, Orlando had forged the seal of Leader Olumba Olumba Obu and other related matters as contained in the letter of 6/6/2022 which is now a subject of police inquiry.
“Orlando Obu is neither a trustee nor principal officer of BCS, and of course, does not have the authority of our leader to author or issue such a letter to convene a general meeting.
“The judgment of Federal High Court Calabar on the basis upon which Orlando purports to convene the said meeting of 13 August, 2022 is the subject of appeal in the Court of Appeal as well as a filed motion on notice for stay of execution duly served on him.”
Archibong further stressed that his alleged desperate attempts amount to undue interference with administration of justice, warning their members to disregard his plots.
The spokesman called on the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), the police and other statutory agencies to disregard purported election or appointment of trustees for the organisation as this may cause a breakdown of law and order.
