Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has approved the appointment of Senior Technical Assistants (STA), Senior Special Assistants (SSA), Special Assistants (SA) and Chairmen and members of various boards, agencies, and commissions.
According to a statement released by the Secretary to the Borno State Government, Hon Bukar Tijjani, on Saturday night, the appointment s comprise of theS enior Special Assistants:
1. Mohammed Zanna Borkoma – General Services
2. Tahiru Shettima – Political
3. Mai Yau Adamu – Finance and Economy
4. Hajja Fati Gambo Dori – Planning
5. Mohammed Umar Lamba – Cabinet
6. Usman Abubakar Wakta – Transport and Energy
7. Surv. Amsami Alh. Bukar – Land Matters
8. Engr. Kolomi Bukar – Equipment and Machinery
9. Hon. Umaru Sa’ad Yahe – Local Govt and Emirate Affairs
Other appointments include BOARDS/ AGENCIES AND COMMISSIONS Chairmen and members such LOCAL GOVERNMENT PENSION BOARD which has Honourable Mahmud Lawan Maina as Chairman and Wakil Abbas Jilbe , Zannah Dalatu Kullima and Galdi Garba Shani as Members.
URBAN PLANNING BOARD has Alhaji Ibrahim Magaji Wala as Chairman and Zannah Mustapha (Premier) and Hon. Ba’aji Kachalla as Members while BORNO GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SERVICE (BOGIS) has Alhaji Zannah Mahdi as Chairman and Yagana Abba Gumsu , Engr Lawan Umar Grema (Kaga) and Barrister Abba Buba Chekene as Members
EDUCATION TRUST FUND has Prof. Hauwa Biu as Chairperson and Lydia Gora and Kaka Alhaji Abba as Members, AUDIT SERVICE Commission has Ibrahim Mohammed Lawalam as Chairman, Mohammed Kauje, Lawan Gana Mustapha and Mohammed Joromi as Members.
INVESTMENT PROMOTION AGENCY has Bulama Laminu as Executive Secretary while STATE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (SEMA) has Sheriff Bukar as District Coordinator Borno Central, Mada Saidu as District Coordinator Borno South and Mustapha Kagu as District Coordinator Borno North.
REVENUE SERVICE BOARD has Bukar Lawan as Chairman, Hajja Ba’ana A. Modu and Barrister Ibrahim Kaigama as Members while BORNO EXPRESS COOPERATION has Engr Babagana Moruma as Chairman, Zanna Wuroma, Hajiya Hauwa Ali Abubakar (Baraka) , Shettima Bukar, Hajja Yawo Gaji ,Ali Garba Amvour and Mohammed Gaji Kafaas Members

The statement noted also that the appointment was by powers conferred upon the governor by Section 208(2)d of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, as amended.
Hon Bukar Tijjani said Governor Zulum congratulated the appointees, and he looks forward to their contributions to the development of Borno State.
