2023: Borno APC stakeholders endorse Hon. Wakawa for House of Rep

APC stakeholders and members of Askira/Uba and Hawul LGAs of Borno South Senatorial District have endorsed the incumbent member of Borno State House of Assembly, Hon Ayuba Wakawa’s aspiration to contest for the House of Representatives election come 2023

Hon Wakawa who has been serving his constituency, Hawul LGC State Constituency at the Borno State House of Assembly (BOSHA) as member representing Hawul LGA for 12 consecutive years, declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat when he visited the two LGAs that formed the federal Constituency on the platform of the APC.

Our correspondent gathered that the lawmaker, at the weekend, along side his teaming supporters in Hawul and Askira/ Uba LGAs were received by mammoth crowd, indicating that, the people of the areas need a legislative change of baton

Large turn out of delegates and party faithfuls, who welcomed Hon. Wakawa and his entourage.

Addressing the delegates and party supporters, the APC Deputy Chairman, Zone B, Hon Aliyu Yerima said, “Time has come for change, and the only change is Hon Wakawa to be elected as House of Representatives Member for the federal constituency with the support Wakawa enjoyed from Governor Babagana Umara Zulum.”

The Chairman of the APC, Hawul, LGC, Alhaji Auwal Mamman said, “time has come for delegates to vote wisely by giving their own support to Hon Wakawa who have all it takes to represent the federal constituency.”

“Hon Wakawa during his 12 -year at the state assembly has done credibly well in the provision of people oriented projects such as construction of classroom blocks, drilling of boreholes, distribution of poverty alleviation materials and agricultural inputs, as well as numerous youths and women empowerment initiatives across the Council area and beyond,” Auwal added.

While in Askira/Uba, the APC LGC Chairman, Ahmed Ibrahim told the delegates and party faithfuls in Askira/Uba, and some State Executive Council members including Luka Apagu Moussa that there was need for all and sundry to ensure they give their maximum support and cooperation for Hon Wakawa aspiration to emerge as APC House of Representatives candidate and subsequently win election as federal lawmaker in the forthcoming 2023 general election.

Wakawa and his entourage also paid homage to the Emirs of Uba and Askira at their respective palaces to seek their royal blessings.

The Emir of Uba, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ali Ibn Ismaila Mamza II, and that of Askira, HRH Alhaji Abdullahi Ibn Askirama II have also blessed Hon Wakawa and wished him well in his aspiration.

The two Emirs who expressed appreciation for the visits, prayed God to grant Hon Wakawa all his political wishes while urging him to carry everybody along in the discharge of his l legislative role diligently when given the mandate.

Hon. Wakawa in an interview with Journalists after his declaration, expressed satisfaction with the large turn out of delegates and party faithfuls to welcome him and his entourage.

He noted that his aspiration has nothing to do with his personal interest, but a strong commitment and hope of seeing Hawul/Askira/Uba Federal Constituency progressing like other neighboring LGAs.
