The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Mr. Peter Obi has assured Nigerians that if elected President of Nigeria come 2023 election, he will end the present challenges being faced by citizens.
Mr Obi gave the assurances on Wednesday in Jos, Plateau state during a mega rally organized by middle-belt support group, to kick start his campaign.
The Labour Party presidential candidate noted that “the suffering is too much, we cannot continue like this. No jobs, no food, no security, no school, God willing we shall fix the challenges when I’m elected President.”
“We want to stop hunger among Nigerians, we want to create jobs, we want stop the people stealing our money.
“We will provide needed security, so that farmers can go back to their farms and produce sufficient food for us.
“2023 is nobody’s turn, it’s my turn. Put Nigerians in prayer. Pray for peaceful free, and fair elections.
“We want Nigeria to be happy, especially the youths, my government will be for all. We will pull youths out of poverty. We want to improve on electricity.
“We will create a new Nigeria that Nigerians have never seen.” He maintained
Prominent Nigerians including religious leaders such as Prophet Isa El-buba, the founder of Ebomi christian ministry, were present at the event and declared his support for Peter Obi.
Prophet Isa El-buba in an address during the event said the Labour Party Presidential candidate have the capacity to deliver Nigerians from it present captivity Nigerians are in.
One of the popular Nigerian artists John Okafor, known as “Mr. Ibu” also graced the gathering.
The clergy has a week ago organized a political road walk with his members in support of his political ambition.
Supporters of Peter Obi campaign team across the north central states were present at the gathering in a mass.
The event brought Jos to a stand still for hours due to overwhelming supporters who came to witness the gathering.
The Labour Party presidential candidate had on arrival to Jos, paid a courtesy call on the Gbong Gwom Jos, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, who double as the chairman council of Chiefs and Emirs Plateau state; and received Royal blessings. Proceed to Rwang-Pam township stadium for the event.
