
Senator John Owan Enoh
PATRICK ABANG, Calabar –
A frontline governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Senator John Owan Enoh has appealed to the state working committee of the party to consider everyone aspiring to the office of position of the governor in 2023.
The senator also sued for unity among the party and stakeholders to enable it win the forthcoming election in the state.
Speaking during a courtesy call on the state working committee of APC at its secretariat, Senator Enoh said the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is strong and heavy and as such, the party needs to field a candidate that has the capacity and energy that will guarantee the party’s victory in the general election.
Sen. Enoh, who has intimated the party of his intentions to run for the position of governor said he will formally declare on Sunday at the Ishibori , Ogoja LGA, after a thanksgiving mass at St Benedict Cathedral Ogoja, Cross River State.
“For 2023, I have passion for success, a name recognition, and capacity to run an independent campaign, I am interested to run for the office of governor”.
He urged the party to maintain a level playing field for all aspirant so as to carrying everyone along.
In his remarks, the state APC Chairman, Alphonsus Eba urged all aspirant to go to the field as the party will provide a level playing field for all.
Eba who was represented by his deputy, Eka Williams, said everyone has the right to aspire to any office and commended the lawmaker for being the first to inform the party of his ambition.
