
The paraded suspects with the stolen truck

Niger State Police Command has successfully recovered a stolen truck loaded with approximately 900 bags of cement and arrested three suspects in connection with the crime.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday in Minna.
SP Abiodun said the truck was en route from Okpella in Edo State to deliver the cement to a customer in Gwagwalada, Abuja, when it went missing.
He said: “The driver reported that he parked the truck by the roadside to locate the customer and stepped into a restaurant to eat.
“Upon his return, the vehicle had vanished.
” Fortunately, the driver quickly alerted his manager, and the vehicle was tracked to a location in Lambata axis in Niger State.
“Upon receiving the report, the DPO Gawu-Babangida Police Division swiftly mobilized his patrol team to the area.
He said the vehicle was recovered on Lambata-Lapai Road with the 900 bags of cement intact.
The police spokesman said three suspects, Bashir Isah, 22, Ibrahim Yusuf, 21, and Halidu Mohammed, 28, all from Gbamita area of Lambata, were arrested in connection with the crime.
According to him, during interrogation, the suspects confessed to stealing the truck, intending to sell the cement to another buyer.
