Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Yakubu Gambo, paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), Ms. Deemah AlYahya, to strengthen cooperation in advancing digital transformation and innovation.
During the meeting, Gambo expressed his appreciation for the warm reception extended to him despite the short notice of his visit. Discussions focused on the DCO’s role in promoting digital transformation, innovation, and inclusive economic growth among its Member States.
The Ambassador reaffirmed that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu places the digital economy at the center of Nigeria’s development priorities.
He also pledged to facilitate Nigeria’s annual contribution to the Organization as part of the country’s commitment to supporting the DCO’s objectives.
In her remarks, Ms. AlYahya welcomed the Ambassador and reaffirmed the DCO Secretariat’s readiness to work closely with Nigeria.
She assured him of the Secretariat’s full support in strengthening collaboration and advancing shared digital development goals.
