It will be reviewed by renowned human rights lawyer Chief Femi Falana, SAN, under the chairmanship of Professor Chidi Anselm Odinkalu, former Chairman of Nigeria’s National Human Rights Commission and currently a Professor of Practice in International Human Rights Law at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, USA.

Reflecting on the launch of this significant book, Major-General Zamani Lekwot (retired), Agwabyin of Atyap Chiefdom, expressed, “I feel fulfilled to be alive to witness this landmark publication, which portrays the true events that unfolded during and after the Zangon Kataf crisis. The false and weaponized narrative created by certain irresponsible individuals in high places sought to unjustly implicate me in the 1992 crisis, akin to giving a dog a bad name in order to hang it.”
The former military governor of old Rivers State further shared, “I was shamelessly framed by enemies who lacked the courage to confront me directly with my supposed wrongdoings. This publication brings me a sense of relief and peace.”
