Borno APC inaugurates reconciliation committee

The Borno State Chairman of The All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori on Friday inaugurated the 8- man Special Reconciliation Committee for the party in the state.

The special reconciliation committee which was constituted last week comprised of high calibre party stalwarts and astute politicians, who were inaugurated at the APC State Secretariat in Maiduguri .

Addressing journalists’ in his office immediately after inaugurating the reconciliation committee, the State APC Chairman, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori said the committee members were carefully selected among the party rank and file who are notable and highly respected stakeholders.

He added that the members were chosen based on their integrity, experience, intelligence and competence to serve in the special committee.

He urged the members to dedicate themselves to their terms of reference and reposed the confidence the party and people have on them to deliver, unite, reconcile and consolidate on the unity, strength and progress of the party in the state and country at large.

According to him, the terms of reference of the committee include the committee has four weeks or one month to complete it carry out it’s assignment, it is to invite all the aggrieved aspirants at the just concluded APC primaries with a view to listen to their grievances and address them.

Others include to recommend possible solutions to any problem that arose from the party primary elections, to provide far reaching solutions that would avoid further problems as a result of the party primaries and to recommend any other way forward that the members of the committee seems it necessary for the progress if the party.

Hon. Dalori noted that the committee has Hon. Barrister Mohammed Tahir Monguno as Chairman and Hon. Babagana Malarima as Secretary.

The Chairman of the Special Reconciliation Committee, Hon. Barrister Mohammed Tahir Monguno in his remarks, expressed gratitude to God and the State Party Chairman as well as the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party for giving him and other 7 members of the committee the opportunity to serve the party in such capacities.

He also thanked the State Chairman and party for finding them worthy and competent to carry such assignment while assuring that, the committee members will do their possible best to deliver as expected.

Hon. Monguno added that the committee will try and do it’s best to ensure that it carry out its terms of reference within the time fram and were it need additional period of time, it will not hesitate to consult the party.
