In a show of unity and solidarity, the Borno State All Progressives Congress (APC) Stakeholders Meeting has reaffirmed its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and Governor Babagana Umara Zulum’s leadership.
The meeting, held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the Government House’s Multi-Purpose Hall, brought together prominent party members, including Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno, Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, and other key stakeholders.

The stakeholders expressed total loyalty and support for President Tinubu’s administration, endorsing his Renewed Hope Agenda and wishing him and Vice President Kashim Shettima God’s guidance and protection. They also commended Vice President Shettima’s commitment to the president’s mandate and urged President Tinubu to retain him for his second term.
The meeting further expressed total confidence in Governor Zulum’s administration, charging him to remain focused on recovering Borno from insurgency, terrorism, and criminality. The stakeholders noted that Governor Zulum’s efforts have been yielding positive results and urged him to continue working towards the development and security of the state.
In a significant resolution, the stakeholders reaffirmed that Borno State will remain under the APC, with no plans for merger or change of party affiliation. They urged party faithfuls to avoid actions that could tarnish the APC’s image and to promote unity and solidarity within the party.
“We reaffirm that the APC shall remain the indisputable platform for democratic politics in Borno State.”
“It would be counterproductive to deviate from the principles and manifesto of the APC, and therefore urged party faithfuls to remain firmly faithful and resolute in promoting the APC governments at State and federal levels.”

The meeting also called on the federal government to continue supporting development programs in Borno State, including oil exploration in the Northeast region and investment in road infrastructure. Specifically, they appealed to President Tinubu to invest in road infrastructure in the Northeast region to make it more secure and prosperous.
The stakeholders’ communique was signed by Honourable Bello Ayuba, APC Borno State Chairman, and Barister Mustapha Loskuri, APC State Secretary. The meeting’s resolutions demonstrate the party’s commitment to unity, solidarity, and progressivism in Borno State.
The APC stakeholders’ meeting has sent a strong message of unity and solidarity, which is expected to boost the party’s chances in future elections. The resolutions passed during the meeting will likely have a positive impact on the party’s future in Borno State.
